FEATURED EVENT:
DAEDALUS HYBRID LAUNCH On February 17th, 2018, the Texas A&M University Sounding Rocketry Team will attempt to launch the Daedalus rocket under the power of the NP-915 Icarus hybrid rocket engine - its first hybrid launch.
Nominal flight trajectory predicts Daedalus will reach an apogee of ~5,000 ft AGL and maximum Mach number of ~0.50. |
UPCOMING EVENT:
SET-V On February 3rd, 2018, the Texas A&M University Sounding Rocketry Team will perform the fifth static engine test (SET-V) of the NP-915 Icarus hybrid rocket engine in the test cell at the Rellis campus.
SET-V will both provide valuable new information about realistic chamber pressures and temperatures as well as characterize overall engine performance during standard engine operation. |
