Engine overview

Hyperion was developed by SRT-10 as a new 30,000-foot-capable hybrid engine for the Odysseus program. The design moved into a six-inch vehicle envelope while increasing tank and chamber length, adding a solid ignition system, using stepper-motor actuation through a gear train, and introducing SRT’s first in-house-designed pressure vessel.
