Hornet

Hornet is the first sub-minimum-diameter vehicle built by SRT. It served as an early test platform for deployment systems intended for the team’s eventual spaceshot vehicle.

The 27.7-inch vehicle used a Von Kármán nose cone optimized around near-transonic flight. Its compact packaging gave the team a deliberately constrained platform for iterating deployment hardware and procedures.
