What the team does
Finance keeps the technical work funded and purchasable. The subteam maintains budgets and accounting records, coordinates purchasing and reimbursements, works with sponsors and donors, and helps project teams plan around real funding constraints.
Members stay close to the engineering teams because procurement is part of project execution. Good finance work means knowing what hardware is needed, when it is needed, which fund can support it, and what documentation is required to close the transaction correctly.
