In June 2025, SRT sent fifteen members to Midland, Texas to compete in the Midland SpacePort competition. The first two days were spent presenting Morpheus and the team’s technical work at the Horseshoe Pavilion before the launch campaign began.
The team disabled the live video telemetry system before launch after discovering interference with critical recovery electronics. After flight, Morpheus also had difficulty receiving data packets, complicating the search and recovery process. The vehicle was recovered fully intact, although it was ultimately presented to the judges as only partially recovered.
SRT finished 10th out of 61 teams in the 30K COTS Solids category.
