What the team does
Dynamics predicts how SRT vehicles move through the atmosphere. Members aeroshape vehicles, build trajectory and stability models, estimate thermal and structural flight environments, support guidance and control work, and maintain simulation tools used before and after flight.
The subteam uses tools ranging from OpenRocket and RASAero II to CFD, FEA, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C++. The important skill is not just running software: members are expected to verify assumptions, document models, communicate uncertainty, and hand usable loads and performance data to the hardware teams.
