Subteam

Ground Support Engineering

GSE builds the controls, data acquisition, software, networking, test infrastructure, and operating procedures used to safely run engines, fluid systems, launch hardware, and other SRT tests.

What the team does

Ground Support Engineering develops the systems that let SRT operate hardware safely from the ground. The subteam works on data acquisition, controls, real-time software, networking, instrumentation, launch support, and test infrastructure such as the static test cell and launch tower.

Members learn how electrical, mechanical, and software systems meet during an actual operation. Typical work includes selecting sensors, wiring DAQ hardware, programming control interfaces, validating network communication, writing test procedures, and troubleshooting under a disciplined test process.
